>> May 2007 >> Cannes - Cagla Zencirci & Guillaume Giovanetti present their feature film project - the Pakistani Road-Movie You are my heart, you are my soul - at the Cannes Film Market, represented by the Production Company Axel cinéma. The projet, already awarded several times in 2006 (e.g. the CNC Development Grant of the Mediterranean Festival of Montpellier) will be a European Co-production involving France, Germany and Turkey. Location Scouting and Casting are planned from September 2007 on.

The invitation to the Cannes Film Festival of Carnegami, the last fiction film Cagla Zencirci & Guillaume Giovanetti shot with Italian non-professional actors under the guidance of Abbas Kiarostami, raised several interests among World Festival Programmers. The film has just been invited to take part into the competition of the International Seoul Film Festival, South Korea. Its programm coordinator said that it could "fascinate local audiences". To be continued... Furthermore, Carnegami has been invited to take part into 2 Festivals in the US, in New-York and in Pennsylvania.

The editing of the middle-length film Ata, the last fiction by Cagla Zencirci & Guillaume Giovanetti, is getting to an end. Shot in super 16 mm with non-professional actors, it deals with the meeting in France of a Turkish lady and an Uyghur man from China. The sound post-production will start at the end of July.

Carnegami, the previous film of the co-directors, had already competed in Cork in 2006.

The Pakistani Road-Movie Tu Mera Dil, Tu Meri Jaan (You are my heart, you are my soul), the feature film project by Cagla Zencirci & Guillaume Giovanetti, has just been granted the MEDIA Programme Development Fund of the European Union. The grant has been maximal, and will allow the French-German-Turkish co-producers to launch the castings and location scouting on stage in fall 2007.
The shooting should take place in several locations in Pakistan in 2008.
